Visual Diary is an ongoing project, an intimate journey through time, memory, and perception. It captures fleeting, frozen moments and invites viewers to become present.
Through still and moving images, it reveals the quiet poetry of everyday life. At its core, this work is an exercise in attention. It encourages a deeper awareness of the world around us:
the overlooked details, strange coincidences, passing faces, changing light. In doing so, Visual Diary becomes an anchor, a way to ground ourselves in the now and to reflect
on the subtle threads that shape our experience. The installation takes the form of a surveillance console, casting the viewer in the role of a voyeur, peering into Roubinet’s personal archive.
It draws you in, asking you to slow down, look closely, and truly engage with what’s unfolding. In a time when speed and distraction dominate, Visual Diary offers a rare space for stillness and focus.
Each image and video acts as a window into domestic interiors, fleeting street scenes, gestures of intimacy and solitude. These vignettes invite not just observation, but empathy,
reflection and introspection. They remind us that meaning often lives in the unnoticed and the ephemeral.

Exhibited at Kunstquartier Bethanien, Berlin, 2025
